great news for skiers & riders heading for upstate new york

New Lifts, Trails, Activities, Dining and Snowmaking

Over the past three years, Windham's ownership has invested over $10 million in the resort. Things kicked off with three new trails, four new lifts and many snowmaking improvements. The Windham Mountain Adventure Park added a bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall and an ice skating center (which is a skateboard park in the summer). The restaurant formerly known as Vines Bistro was renamed Trail's End Tavern & Grill and completely remodeled with beautiful timber, stone and copper elements. We think it's one of the best restaurants in the region.

This year the great changes continue, with $4.75 million in base lodge improvements, including:

  • An updated exterior, with new roofing materials to match the adjacent Enclave building and more alpine elements like timber and stone.
  • A new cafe as you enter the base lodge.
  • An expanded Windham Mountain Sports.
  • A larger, more sophisticated firepit area on the patio.
  • A new barbecue and bar on the patio.
  • The Club at Windham Mountain, a private club space on the third floor which will be open to the general public for dinner reservations when space is available. The incredible views in three directions are rivaled only by the stunning interior finishes.
  • As usual, snowmaking! We've added 45 new snow guns, several thousand feet of new pipe and relocated dozens of existing guns to be more efficient.
  • Windham has also added a new annual mountain biking event. The East Coast Nationals debuted over the summer with three Olympians competing along with hundreds of other racers.
